Meet Jeremy!

Jeremy, our Program Director here at Millwood Impact had the privilege of becoming a mentor for our STAR Club kick-off this past spring. He mentored a crew of students, also known as the “The Green pterodactyls” as each group in STAR Club had the opportunity to pick their own fun name! One of Jeremy's favorite memories was riding the school bus for STAR Club pick-up. He mentioned;

“It was nice connecting with Janice the bus driver and being surrounded by the after-school energy! I learned to take advantage of the time I had with students and ask intentional questions to further connect and get to know them better.”

Thank you Jeremy for investing in the youth and families in the greater Milwood and West Valley community. To find more about Jeremy continue reading below!

  1. What do you love about Millwood and the West Valley community?

    I love that everyone looks out for each other and is looking out for each other's best interests. I have seen this time and time again, whether it is at the farmers market where community members and vendors promote and support each other or whether it is a West Valley Administrator reaching out to us to help meet a need in the community, I am continually impressed by the level of honest support I see here in Millwood.

  2. In three words how do people describe you?

    Family oriented, empathic and fun.

  3. What do you enjoy about your role at Millwood Impact?

    I love working with volunteers because they really believe in the work we are doing. Volunteers are critical at a small nonprofit like ours and they are really making a difference in their community one week at a time.

  4. Fun fact about yourself?

    I once owned a donut business!

  5. Your Favorite Quote?

    “So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
